About Us

Our Story

Today, we share with you a heartfelt story that has shaped our lives and brought us together on a journey we feel destined to fulfill. From early childhood, we both witnessed the incredible impact that our parents had on our local communities in Haiti. Their dedication to helping others and the profound belief that anything is possible with unity and collaboration left an indelible mark on our young hearts.

Our Role

Throughout our upbringing, we were instilled with the wisdom of the Haitian Motto: “L’union fait la force” – Unity makes strength. These words resonated deeply within us and served as a guiding principle throughout our lives. We both had aspirations to make a difference and contribute to the well-being of our fellow Haitians. Little did we know that our paths would merge in the most serendipitous way to establish the Andromel Foundation.

Dear Supporters and Partners,

Today, we share with you a heartfelt story that has shaped our lives and brought us together on a journey we feel destined to fulfill. From early childhood, we both witnessed the incredible impact that our parents had on our local communities in Haiti. Their dedication to helping others and the profound belief that anything is possible with unity and collaboration left an indelible mark on our young hearts.

Our encounters during adolescence brought us closer, and we discovered that we shared a common passion for uplifting our community and creating positive change. We realized that together, we could do so much more and truly embody the essence of “L’union fait la force.” With this shared vision and determination, we took the leap of faith and founded the Andromel Foundation.

Andromel was born out of a desire to address the challenges faced by our community in Haiti. We firmly believe that by providing support and empowering those in need, we can foster sustainable development and pave the way for a brighter future for our people. The name “Andromel” holds deep significance for us. It is a combination of two meaningful words: “Romel” and “Andromarque.” These names hold personal significance as they represent the coming together of our individual strengths and passions. “Romel” stands for my name, and “Andromarque” for my wife’s name. By combining our names into one, we wanted to express our shared dedication to creating a better world, not just for ourselves but for everyone around us.

Over the years, Andromel has undertaken various initiatives, ranging from educational programs and skill development workshops to healthcare outreach and environmental conservation projects. Our aim is to holistically uplift the lives of the people we serve and create a ripple effect of positive change that extends far beyond our initial efforts. It is through the generous support of partners like you that we have been able to achieve milestones that once seemed like distant dreams. The impact we’ve made in the lives of countless individuals is a testament to the power of collective action and the unwavering belief that anything is possible when we stand united.

As we continue our journey with the Andromel Foundation, we find strength in the knowledge that there are compassionate souls like you who share our vision and support our cause. Your contributions, whether big or small, make a significant difference in the lives of those we serve. Together, we can create a more inclusive, prosperous, and harmonious community in Haiti. We invite you to join us in this noble endeavour. Your continued support will not only bring hope and joy to those in need but will also inspire others to believe in the power of compassion and collaboration.

Thank you for being a valuable part of our story and helping us write the chapters of hope, transformation, and unity. We look forward to a future where the Andromel Foundation continues to thrive and our community flourishes under the banner of “L’union fait la force.”

With heartfelt gratitude,
Andromarque & Romel

Our Duties

This question often highlights two predominant domains: the public and private sectors. With its innovation expertise, the private sector excels in crafting novel products and services. Conversely, the public sector, encompassing governmental bodies, excels in distributing solutions to meet the diverse needs of populations. In numerous instances, the collaborative efforts of these sectors converge to fulfil the requisites of individuals. However, within this convergence lies crevices where specific population segments remain underserved, lacking the essentials for a thriving and wholesome existence.
A pertinent illustration emerges within education, healthcare, and infrastructural possibilities. At present, education and healthcare sectors are operating suboptimally, narrating only a fraction of the complete historical narrative and impeding equitable education for the less fortunate. The accessibility to fundamental healthcare necessities continues to elude a substantial portion of the population, primarily due to the inadequate market demand prevailing in low-income nations. Despite governmental endeavors at interventions, the complexities associated with funding,

collaborative partnerships, and logistical orchestration have proven formidable to synchronise effectively. Regrettably, the upshot has been the tragic loss of innumerable young lives to preventable ailments yearly. It is precisely such challenges that philanthropic endeavors are uniquely positioned to address – challenges that underscore the crux of our foundation’s purpose. Our role is defined by our commitment to surmounting these obstacles, and bringing about transformative changes for the betterment of society.

How do we, then, effectively drive change? What is the specific modus operandi of our foundation? At the core of our approach is the understanding that we must first instigate changes within individuals to alter lives permanently. External circumstances can be forever changed through this internal transformation, leading to sustainable progress and lasting impact.

Leadership

The foundation’s leadership encompasses a diverse array of backgrounds, representing a rich tapestry of skills and know-how across various domains such as science, technology, medicine, public policy, education, communication, law, and business. These leaders are driven by the foundation’s overarching mission: to forge a global landscape where each individual is empowered to lead a robust and thriving life.
